Grants awarded for brain tumor research!

The Musella Foundation For Brain Tumor Research & Information, Inc, in association with Lauren's First and Goal Foundation, has awarded 3 brain tumor research grants this week:

  1. $50,000 to Dr Robert Prins and Dr Linda Liau at UCLA Medical Center, for the project titled: “Genetic profiling and immunotherapeutic targeting of Optic Gliomas”
  2. $50,000 to  Dr. Timothy E. Van Meter at Virginia Commonwealth University for a project entitled "A Molecular Signature of Pediatric Optic Glioma"
  3. $15,000 to Dr. Avraham Dilmanian, Ph.D. at Brookhaven National Lab, NY for the project titled: "Stereotactic Microbeam Radiation Therapy of a rat brainstem gliosarcoma as a surrogate for optic glioma"

The Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research & Information, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to speeding up the search for the cure. 

Lauren's First and Goal Foundation is a charitable organization created to raise funds to support pediatric brain tumor research, support local pediatric cancer services, provide financial assistance to families living with a pediatric cancer diagnosis and to raise public awareness regarding pediatric brain tumors.
